Michael Tenuta

CEO | Founder | Project Management
With over forty years of professional experience, Michael has an extensive background in business development, client management and project management services. Prior to the founding of Strategic Project Advisors LLC, Michael headed up Project Management at Avison Young’s Chicago Office where he managed a team of project managers working on real estate capital projects. He was responsible for starting the Project Management group where he built up the group over five years, managing high profile industrial, retail, and tenant interior projects. Prior to Avison Young, Michael was a Director at Cushman and Wakefield managing corporate tenant relocations and industrial projects for a variety of clients. Additionally, he was a Project Executive providing Construction services in the Chicago Metropolitan area. He served as a Senior Vice President/Partner at Clune Construction Company where he assisted in growing the company to $300,000,000 annual volume. Prior to entering Construction Management, Michael was a licensed Architect working on base buildings, building renovations and interior fit-outs for corporate, healthcare, retail, and industrial clients. Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture (1980) from the Illinois Institute of Technology.


Paul Laskowske

Principal / Project Executive

Paul Laskowske, as Principal and Project Executive, oversees the design and construction of projects and developments. He monitors all design and construction contracting practices, systems, and processes. Over the years, Paul has established and maintained relations with architects, contractors, major trades, and professional organizations. Paul provides leadership and oversight of design and construction activities of Strategic Project Advisors project management and advisory services.

Prior to joining Strategic Project Advisors,  Paul headed the Project Management team at Avison Young and was the point of contact for the Development Team’s Construction Management.  He also held senior-level executive positions with major Chicago-based firms, including Avison Young, Clune Construction Company, and Gurtz Electric Co.

During his 39 years in the construction industry, Paul has been directly responsible for the management of preconstruction and construction phases on a wide range of project types including residential, hotel & hospitality, office buildings, health care, and convention center facilities. Paul has also managed numerous developments, base building and renovation projects which include medical centers, hotels , senior living facilities, and high rises in the Chicago area.

Michelle Mitchell

Financial Management / Administrative Support

With over 30 years in office administration and financial management, Michelle keeps the administrative side of Strategic Project Advisors humming. Her attention to detail and organizational skills ensure that every financial aspect of projects is handled with insight and precision.

Michelle is responsible for collecting and logging all invoices and payment applications for each project’s monthly billing package to submit to each of Strategic Project Advisors’ clients. She prepares Tenant Reimbursement packages to be submitted to the Client’s Landlord for reimbursement to the Client from the Tenant Improvement Allowance, and manages all required project documentation, including Certificates of Insurance and Lien Waivers.

Michelle provides administrative support on all Strategic Project Advisor projects as she maintains many of the Smartsheets reports we utilize, including Invoice Tracking Log, Change Order Log, Project Directory, Allowance and Contingency Logs, Anticipated Cost Report (ACR), and Contractor Payment Application Log.
