Project Description

LSTC is a leading urban Lutheran seminary, training students to be visionary ministers serving in the global community. After 30 years in their previous location, the school sought a new home which would reflect their commitment to excellence, collaboration, diversity and service.

Honoring history and embracing culture and the future was the challenge for Strategic Project Advisors as we worked closely with LSTC on their new campus facility in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.  The layout of the new 24,000 sf space offers many places for students to learn, gather, collaborate, and worship. Large windows and a central atrium provide plenty of natural light, while stained glass panels were relocated in fresh and inspiring ways in the chapel and student gathering areas. Upgraded technology in the classrooms and chapel allows for better hybrid learning and worship experiences for students, faculty, and the community.
